His name is Comfort |
Shortly before Jesus was crucified, He promised that He wouldn't leave us by ourselves after He went up to Heaven. Instead of leaving us alone and helpless, Jesus sent us God the Holy Spirit...
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever... for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14.16-17b, KJV)
| Jesus spoke of Holy Spirit by a specific name. Jesus called Him Parakleetos. |
(Jesus said...) Ho de Parakleetos, to Pneuma to Hagion, ho pempsei ho Pateer en too onomati mou, ekeinos humas didaxei panta kai hupomneesei humas panta ha eipon humin egoo. (John 14.26, Greek Text)
